The idea for reading is to read time by using light since time is an important factor for people especially who lives in this very busy city. People react and do things, unintentionally, according to time whether when they should go to sleep or to eat even though they are not feel like doing it at all. Time, psychologically, tells people what to do. Also with the site and surrounding, many schools are located which they run their schedules according to time as well. Therefore i want to raise awareness of time by using light, sunlight mostly, that reflects the bridge as a tool for users for time realization.
So now i'm working on more research that would be more direct to the proposal
what i have come up so far with the time awareness,
characteristic of time
- continuous flow
- repetitive
- flexible/ elastic
- uncontrollable
importance of time to users at different time of the day
- morning: high-very high
- noon: moderate
- evening: low
for the design, i will try having light reflect on different materials which they give different feeling to people because of its luminosity, directions, and colors.
