I understand the concern you might have for those children in Africa and the hopeless situation they are in.
However do not embark on a pure denunciation of a phenomenon too great to be apprehended so quickly (besides it is not the point of this exercise).

What would be interesting rather is to observe and manipulate into a collage how those informations (this particular one, and maybe other terrible facts which are projected onto us regularly although we are physically unable to reach or feel them) are reaching us.
What are the media involved, how are we directly addressed, what is used to touch us and touch us in what ways, what are the conditions of our incapacity to act or react, etc.

If you are willing to pursue in this direction, i recommend a great documentary film-maker, Adam Curtis.
He is really skilled at digging into archives for all political and societal factors secretly woven in public phenomenon.

I think I'm going to stick with this topic and I will use words/sentences to help convey the message of the collage also.

If I do my collage digitally, do I need a hard copy of it for the presentation?
